CEAS Events

About the Conference
The AIAA/CEAS Aeroacoustics Conference has established itself as the premier international forum for the field of aeroacoustics. It offers scientists and engineers from industry, government and universities an exceptional opportunity to exchange knowledge and results of current studies and to discuss directions for future research. Papers that address all aspects of the generation, propagation, and control of vehicle noise, as well as the effect of noise on structures and individuals are solicited. The program’s technical content will include theoretical, experimental, and numerical contributions that describe original research results and/or innovative design concepts including those related to recent advances in low-carbon aircraft architectures and urban air mobility vehicles.

Taking place in Southampton, the conference is in person only and will include a mix of plenary and technical breakout sessions plus optional social events. The programme will run from 08:15 to 18:30 or 19:00 on days 1 – 3, and from 08:15 to 15:00 on day 4. The final programme will be published here shortly.

The European Rotorcraft Forum is one of the premier events in the rotorcraft community’s calendar bringing together manufacturers, research centres, academia, operators and regulatory agencies to discuss advances in research, development, design, manufacturing, testing and operation of rotorcraft.

This Forum will be the 48th in a series of events, which take place annually across Europe, rotating around the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Poland, and now Switzerland. The first ERF was held in Southampton, England, in 1975, and the most recent in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, in 2021, although online.

The 48th European Rotorcraft Forum will be organised by the Centre for Aviation (ZAV) of ZHAW, under the auspices of the Swiss Association of Aeronautical Sciences (SVFW), and planning is underway for the Forum to take place in Winterthur, Switzerland on 6-9 September 2022.

2nd Conference Advanced Aircraft Efficiency in a Global Air Transport System, AEGATS’18

Call for Papers

October 23th-25th, 2018 / Toulouse (FR)

The AEGATS Conference is the “forum” supporting the vision of a Global Air Transport System, addressing the efficiency problematics for both aircraft design and air transportation operations perspectives to prepare the future.

A more efficient aircraft means an aircraft which provides more and more Net Present Value. As a result, the aircraft design must enable, on the one hand to reduce dramatically the fuel burn, the maintenance cost and the cost of ownership in a shorter time to market, and on the other hand to increase revenue through cabin services and enhanced aircraft operability. Urban mobility is it a dream or a new challenge? Question to focus on at this conference. Of course, the digital transformation of the industry, including the intensive use of big data with new business models is a key enabler to achieve this. Security has not to be seen as a threat but as an opportunity for improvement.

This new edition of the AEGATS Conference will answer these problematics and will bring together all stockholders of the air transport system, including aircraft manufacturers, airlines, airports, ATM, universities, academy, and government agencies.

Main Topics:
– AIRCRAFT DESIGN
– OPERATIONS
– SECURITY
– DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION & AVIATION INFRASTRUCTURE
– DOOR-TO-DOOR AIR MOBILITY
